Mr. Mutai will utilize his experience gained in Legislative Drafting in the current project. He also took courses for his Masters course in International Technology Transfer covering among others: Intellectual Property Protection, International Technology Transactions, Licensing, Foreign Direct Investment, Joint Venture Franchising, Turn-key Contracts. Consultancy Agreements, Economic issues and Legal problems associated with these.
Kiogora Mutai graduated from University of Nairobi with a Bachelor of Laws (Honours) in 1987 and acquired a Diploma in Law at the Kenya School of Law in July 1988. He then proceeded to work in the office of the Attorney General as State Counsel in the Legislative Drafting Section till October 1988, when he proceeded to pursue a Post Qualification Diploma in Legislative Drafting from the University of the West Indies, Barbados.
He qualified as a Certified Public Secretary (Kenya) in 1997 and in Computer Operations in 1998. He obtained a Masters in Law at the University of Nairobi in 2005, majoring in telecommunications.
In 1989 he worked as an Associate Advocate with Oraro & Rachier Advocates. Duties performed with them included Litigation, Banking and Insurance Law out of court settlements for insurance claims. Some of the organisations he performed legal work for include Phoenix Alliance Insurance Company, Jubilee Insurance Company, Kenya Commercial Bank and Thabiti Finance Corporation.
JAMES KAMINDO

James Kamindo is an Advocate of the High Court of Kenya. He holds a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B) from Kisii University and a Postgraduate Diploma in Advocacy from the Kenya School of Law.
He began his legal career as a legal intern at Laichena Mugambi & Ayieko LLP Advocates, where he undertook his pupillage before being appointed as an Associate Advocate. During this period, he gained practical experience in litigation, legal research, and client representation.
He joined Kiogora Mutai & Co. Advocates in January 2023 and currently heads the Litigation Department, focusing on criminal, civil, and commercial matters.

ANN MUMBI GETHI

Ann Mumbi Gethi is an Advocate of the High Court of Kenya. She holds a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B) from Egerton University and a Postgraduate Diploma in Law from the Kenya School of Law.
She began her legal career with pupillage at JM Njengo & Co. Advocates and later worked in legal research at Mwaniki Gitau & Co. Advocates, where she developed strong skills in legal research, drafting, and case preparation across diverse areas of practice.
She is currently an Associate at Kiogora Mutai & Co. Advocates, focusing on client-centred legal practice. She is also trained in mediation and holds a Data Protection certificate from Strathmore University.

OKOLI JEREMIAH

Okoli Jeremiah is an Advocate of the High Court of Kenya, admitted in 2024. He holds a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B) from Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology.
He began his legal career with pupillage at MNM Advocates LLP and later worked at Trident Insurance Company, where he handled claims management and regulatory compliance matters. He subsequently joined Maina Rogoi & Co. Advocates as an Associate Advocate.
He is currently an Associate at Kiogora Mutai & Co. Advocates, focusing on commercial disputes, land matters, litigation, and alternative dispute resolution for both individual and corporate clients.

MELLISSA MWORIA

Melissa Mwendwa Mworia is a pupil at Kiogora Mutai & Co. Advocates and is currently pursuing her Postgraduate Diploma at the Kenya School of Law (2025–2026). She holds a Bachelor of Laws degree from The Catholic University of Eastern Africa.
She has participated in pro bono legal aid initiatives through volunteer work with LAJI and Wakili wa Watoto and has gained experience in legal research, drafting, client support, and case preparation. She also holds a Virtual Assistant certificate from ALX Kenya.
She is committed to professional growth and supporting the delivery of efficient and client-focused legal services.
